Cleveland FLEA

Part urban treasure hunt. Part culinary adventure. Part maker center.

The Cleveland Flea is a small business incubator that draws thousands of Northeast Ohioans to lesser-known neighborhoods in the city to shop curated vintage, culinary all-stars and the most talented makers in the region. But it's always been more than just a market.

Vintage and salvage dealers set up shop next to jewelers, fine artists and bakers, furniture crafters and charcuterie makers. The Flea is at once a foodie feast and community gathering place, a weekend excursion in the city and a movement to back a brilliant creative class.

The City Flea

The City Flea

The City Flea is Cincinnati's original curated, urban flea market that takes place once a month at Washington Park and various other locations through out the year. Since its conception in 2011 The Flea has seen dozens of vendors grow from hobby to full time business and it is with much pride that we consider ourselves not only a monthly market, but a small business incubator, community organization, and city advocate. The Flea is a place to keep your dollars local, support small business and experience YOUR city in a unique and engaging way.

Our vendors range from vintage dealers to artisan pizza makers to plant studios. We have something for everyone.

Our current season runs from April thru December. (Check the 'MARKETS' tab for exact dates and locations)

HISTORY

The City Flea is the project of a couple from Cincinnati, passionate about the city landscape who have lived in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Brooklyn where they found a lot of inspiration for the Flea. The City Flea sprouted in 2011 after its creators moved back to the Queen City and saw first hand that the city is teeming with creativity, energy, and people who are excited about selling, shopping, and staying local.

On June 4th 2011 The City Flea sprang into action and the first 45 vendors 'delivered the goods' leaving people hungry for more. About 70 vendors sold over the course of the first summer season and now in the NINTH season of operation, the Flea has hosted over 400 creative, unique vendors and small businesses, and see's thousands of shoppers each market.

Bring your friends, bring a few bucks, and most importantly, just bring it

Lakewood Arts Festival

For forty years, the Lakewood Arts Festival has brought local and national artists to the streets of Lakewood, Ohio the first weekend in August. The Lakewood Downtown Arts Festival, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that administers the show with the help of a team of hard-working volunteers and the cooperation of the city of Lakewood, Ohio. The festival supports itself with money raised by entry fees, donations from community merchants, sponsorship funds and other efforts.

Besides supporting the festival, money earned or donated goes towards a scholarship for a local high school graduate, a Lakewood resident, pursuing a degree in fine arts, and toward grants awarded to local organizations presenting art programs for children and seniors in Lakewood. This year grants were awarded to Lakewood High School Barnstormers and the Photography Club, H2O (Help to Others) benefitting Lakewood middle-school students), Lakewood Catholic Academy arts programs, The Barton Center Senior arts activities, and The Beck Center for the Arts programs.

On average, one hundred and sixty-five artists are selected to exhibit. Awards, funded through the help of local businesses and community organizations, are presented to artists in categories of Best of Show, Second, Third Place, Best Creative Presentation and Best New Artist.

Every year a line-up of fine musical entertainment is scheduled throughout the day. A list of times for entertainment is available at the Information Booth and on the Entertainment page. A limited edition lithograph is available for a donation at the information booth as well. Every year they have a fresh new design done by a local artist. The sale of these prints provides funds to support our scholarship fund.

Akron Arts Expo @ Hardesty Park

The Akron Arts Expo weekend is one of the City of Akron’s premier events.  Over 30,000 patrons join us year after year, and you’re invited to come and experience everything this exciting weekend has to offer.

The weekend kicks off on Thursday with Taste of Akron. It features fabulous food sampling from area restaurants and food trucks. On Friday evening we host our Summer Uncorked Tasting fundraiser! Friday features an all-inclusive food, wine and beer tasting along with live music, raffles and auctions. All proceeds from this event benefit the Akron Arts Expo artist awards, the children's interactive area and performing arts. The Akron Arts Expo draws eager art enthusiasts from all over the area on Saturday and Sunday.

Willoughby ArtsFest

2019 ArtsFest Visitor Information

When is the Willoughby ArtsFest?

July 20th from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm

Where is the Willoughby ArtsFest?

The Willoughby ArtsFest is located in the heart of Historic Downtown Willoughby. Erie and Center Streets, Euclid Avenue, and Wes Point Park will be shut down and filled with artists.

How much does it cost to attend?

Since the inception of the ArtsFest, it has been a free event for the public to attend. Through the organization of the Willoughby Chamber and its ArtsFest committee, funds are raised through vendors fees, sponsors, auction tent and wine tent to sustain the yearly popular event.

Is the event accessible for those with disabilities?

There will be handicap accessible parking on Second Street in between Frank and Tony’s and Erie Street.

What else is there to do when I come to the ArtsFest?

This year the Wine Tent has been added to the Willoughby ArtsFest, located in the Citizen’s Bank lawn off of Euclid Avenue. Additionally, Downtown Willoughby has an abundance of restaurants for you to grab a bite to eat at and take break from the warm weather. Looking to do a little shopping? There are boutiques and shops also lining the downtown Willoughby streets. Todd Field, east of the downtown district is a great place to relax and check out the Chagrin River.

If I am coming from out of town, where can I stay?

We suggest the following chamber members for your stay in the Willoughby / Western Lake County area:
Best Western Plus Lawnfield Inn and Suites
Courtyard by Marriott in Willoughby
Holiday Inn Cleveland Northeast – Mentor
Stonehill Hotel Cleveland-Eastlake

What else is there to do in Downtown Willoughby this weekend?

The Willoughby ArtsFest takes place on the same weekend the “Oktoberfest in July” at Immaculate Conception. Feel free to spend the day at the ArtsFest and in the evening, walk up to the “Oktoberfest in July”.

I want to volunteer. How can I get involved in the ArtsFest?

Our volunteer page will provide you with all the information you need to become involved in the fun festivities of the day!

Where is the available parking for the ArtsFest?

Downtown Willoughby has a plethora of places to park within walking distance of the ArtsFest. There are various parking lots and side streets in and around Downtown Willoughby. For more information check out our parking map.
