The City Flea
Oct

The City Flea

The City Flea is Cincinnati's original curated, urban flea market that takes place once a month at Washington Park and various other locations through out the year. Since its conception in 2011 The Flea has seen dozens of vendors grow from hobby to full time business and it is with much pride that we consider ourselves not only a monthly market, but a small business incubator, community organization, and city advocate. The Flea is a place to keep your dollars local, support small business and experience YOUR city in a unique and engaging way.

Our vendors range from vintage dealers to artisan pizza makers to plant studios. We have something for everyone.

Our current season runs from April thru December. (Check the 'MARKETS' tab for exact dates and locations)

HISTORY

The City Flea is the project of a couple from Cincinnati, passionate about the city landscape who have lived in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Brooklyn where they found a lot of inspiration for the Flea. The City Flea sprouted in 2011 after its creators moved back to the Queen City and saw first hand that the city is teeming with creativity, energy, and people who are excited about selling, shopping, and staying local.

On June 4th 2011 The City Flea sprang into action and the first 45 vendors 'delivered the goods' leaving people hungry for more. About 70 vendors sold over the course of the first summer season and now in the NINTH season of operation, the Flea has hosted over 400 creative, unique vendors and small businesses, and see's thousands of shoppers each market.

Bring your friends, bring a few bucks, and most importantly, just bring it

The Festival committee is especially proud to encourage and support creative people with disabilities and students of all ages. In the Special Exhibits area, art & cultural projects are on display from groups throughout the greater Cleveland area: Very Special Arts (art created

Upper Arlington Labor Day Arts Festival

The Upper Arlington Labor Day Arts Festival hosts 25,000 visitors participating in interactive performances and activities, purchasing art from some 200 artists working in a variety of media and enjoying refreshments from a variety of vendors. And it all happens because of our great volunteers!

2019 marks the 53rd Upper Arlington Labor Day Arts Festival! The art show, first held in 1966, was organized by local artists and held in local parks like Miller Park and the Mallway. The art show then moved to the Municipal Services Center on Tremont Road and upon further expansion, moved from the Municipal Center to Northam Park in 1986. Since 1986 the festival has grown in size to now accommodate some 200 artists, vendors, activity areas, performances, and takes the work of staff, volunteers, and a Coordinating Committee to produce.

If you are interested in becoming a Volunteer, click here. Search for “Arlington” and then sign up for various shifts in the following areas: art activities, information, set-up & tear-down, refreshments, performances. A full description of the various volunteer opportunities is provided.
